18th December

Hi!

Tomorrowis the big day when I go back home. I already am left alone in the flat from monday - all of my flatmates went home. Today I bid my farewells to my boyfriend and tomorrow is my turn :D
I'll miss christmas atmosphere which is here but I hope that meeting the family will create unforgettable Christmas this year. First christmas when everyone will have to arrive from their studies and new lifes - me from Edinburgh and my sister from Gdańsk.
I have to eat everything from my fridge today and there was quite a lot. By my stay here I got addicted to sweets so I decided to buy donuts also for today and now I regret it :P
While being here I had much time to see many movies and create a list want to watch. Due to my new friends I know now doritos, ben&jerry's ice cream, custard, mince pies, real english pudding, peanut butter and oatmeal.
My favourite are ben&jerry's ice cream of course....
but also doritos.....
and can't forget of mince pies.
For today I prepared some photos from my uni and lectures

And while we are at it I have some amazing pictures of microbes. Everyone say that they are disgusted or hate bacterias, fungi and all microorganisms in general, but after staining and looking under microscope you can't believe that they can be so cute and beautiful. On my microbiological module I was allowed to take some photos and can show them to you now:

I unfortunately don't remember which one is what bacteria but it doesn't change the fact that they re amazing, can u agree?

See you in Poland xo

16th December

Witajcie!

There is only 3 days before my flight back home and I'm unsure what I feel about it. Sometimes I'm happy that I will finally (after 3,5 months) see my family, friends, dog, go back to familiar places but on the other hand I'm so nervous facing again the same feeling and problems I had before. I'm afraid that my friends changed and I no longer fit there. I found my place here in Edinburgh so I don't want to go back.
Some more of beautiful Edinburgh today. This time it's Arthur's Seat. It's a hill in the middle of the edinburgh. The view from there is amazing. You can see almost everything - the bridge, islands, ocean, fife, all edinburgh and it's so greeny there that I could spend some more time there I sketch the scenery. I went there in October with archery club to integrate more and I never will regret it. Here are some pictures from that time:

Don't you agree that it's beautiful there? But be careful cause at the peak it's really windy. After few days I caught a horrible cold because I didn't wear warm enough clothes :P
For a few days now weather in Edinburgh was horrible - rainy, stormy, windy (60-70mph) but today it's quite nice you even can see sun :D
Today I'm going to Christmas market with my friends from uni. I will also make last christmas purchase - cheese. But not just cheese, it's german cheese :P But I still didn't decide on flavour of it - pickled onion, cranberry, chilli, herbs, smoked, mature, whisky?? They all are amazing in taste but when it comes to choosing it's rather difficult. But there is still some time before I go so will make this decision after tasting them once again :)

See you next time.

15th December

Hello there!
I know that my last post were saying  the same wht I want to say now but still I'm sorry for not writing for such a long time. I would never expect the life to be so interesting and unexpected with a little twist in every situation but it is. I always were wondering
where the soaps directors take their ideas from?
and now I know that from real life.
I got admitted to almost all universities that I wanted to go and the final decision was really hard for me. In the end I decided to study abroad and leave my usual life behind. Now I know that it was perfect decision. I can proudly say that I'm Edinburgh Napier University student at Microbiology and Biotechnology course. Actually we just finished first semester - how the time flies so fast, it's really scary.
For past few months I moved out from my Polish family house to University dorms in Edinburgh, started my uni life, met a lot of amazing people, joined archery club and got second team place as a novices, finished my first semester and in few days going back to Poland for Christmas. Each day I love this city more and more and couldn't possibly be in a better place on earth now.
My friend ssays that we soon will got used to seeing edinburgh so I try to sightsee as much as I can to amaze myself how beautiful this city really is. I went to botanic gardens and saw species which I heard about or read in books while being in polish high school. It's really a great experience and I'd recommend it to enyone no matter if he's interested in botany or not. There are indoors as well as outdoors gardens and it's really worth going. Here are some pictures from the time I was there - it was at the beginning of september so now when it's winter it probably looks a bit different unless we re talking about greenhouse rooms

I'm always amazed by the biology and plants the most. They are so little, can't talk but have so much to say and so many stories to tell. Some of them probably saw really dinosaurs or even the origin of life, it's a shame that we can't make them speak.
That's all for now I'll show some more later.

10 July

Long time no see...

I haven't write for long, I know but there are many new situations in my life and at each I have to make some important life changing decision.
About 2 month ago I finished school for good. I'm no longer a student :D
From that time I had my matura exam for month. They appeared not to be so hard as I imagined but it's all about stress. After that time we had to wait for our results for month and a half. We got our results while applying for courses on Universities.
Now we are waiting for decisions made be universities if we got in or not. I already know that I got in for neurobiology in Cracow and for diet in Warsaw. But it's not all for me because as I was saying earlier I also applied to Scotland and now I'm waiting for change on my UCAS Track notification board. I'm so nervous.
And I don't know what to choose and the worst I have to made decision in one week. Only one week. It's nerve wrecking.
Now relaxing is my top priority that's why just listen to this:
It's one of my favourite Rihanna songs.
It has a long preview but I love this song for it's emotions.

I will try to write some more from now on. But I won't promise anything...

09 October

Cześć!
How are you? Cause I'm ill for almost 4 weeks!!
It's long and I haven't been going to school for all this time. I have really a lot to make up :(
But good thing is that I have time to read books that I haven't had time for all this time and a possibility to think about my future (collage etc.). Cause as you may know I'm a sophomore in high school and next year I have a really important exam and then studies at university. I really want to study abroad so I have really great pile of documents to fill in and things to master like biology and chemistry in English and of caurse CAE. So it's been really hard this year and it will be even harder next year. But put that aside...
I'm reading Erich Segal's book "Doctors". It's really interesting especially for me as I want to go for medical studies. I really recommend it when you wnat to get to know sth about english Harvard Medical School and even if you don't want to be a doctor it's really great book.
While I'm doing it I also write my reseach at biology competition. As I do it I'm listening to Adele song "set fire to the rain". I don't kno why but it really calmes me down and I'm writing it with much more passion :D
So I wish you nice day...

Shopping

Who doesn't like shopping?
Everyone does but they sometimes don't want to agree with it. This feeling of buying sth new and showing that to other people is great as for me. I love shopping especially if it's something for me. But buying presents is very important too. My birthday is at 6th of september and I'm looking forward to it cause I'm gonna meet my friends. Another of my friends has her birthday on the same day and I'm going to celebrate it this saturday. I will show you later what we bought :D
Few days ago I was in the city center and took a look at few shops. I bought at the same store a bag and shoes:
The shoes are unfortunately for autumn but bug is small and in marine style. It's cute ^^
I really don't know how this shop is named cause it's new and they didn't put a sign yet.
I'm looking forward to the next visit there.
Every time I'm doing shopping I reremember a song "Ka-ching"
Especially the sound of the old cash machine :D

1st september

Hi!
Today is 1st september the most unwanted day in students life. The holidays ends and new school year starts.
I'm not a bit happy about it. I won't have time for myself only for school. Learning for exams, doing homework it's tiring and unnecessary. Today is thursday and we had only an official ceremony of it. Tomorrow we have normal lessons. My plan:
8:00 - 11:30
religion
religion
chemistry
biology
I'm lucky that I have only this much as my first day :D
This year the most popular colors were classic: black and white. I wore my new white tights, black high-heels, black dress and black jacket in gothic style. This is my dress:
I should be learning now but I will relax for now and maybe play "Black and White" game :P

Holidays

Gün aydın
Now are the holidays and somehow nobody has time. It's exactly the same like when it's in school time.
This year I was in Turkey and I have to say it's really great country. I just love Asia :P
I met many different and gtreat people and I enjoyed my time there. I saw many interesting things and places out there. I really would like to go there once again but to see second part of this country - eastern part.
I thought that Turkey will be similar to India a bit dirty, poor and completly different from Europe. And to my surprise it was like conection of France, Croatia, India and Italy. Crazy mix :D
I'm really happy that I was able to see it.

Few views from there.
Isn't Turkey beautiful?

Easter

I know I'm kind of late but Happy Alleluja!!

In my country each year on main holidays as Christmas or Easter we have market.
You can find there hand made stuff like jewellery, post cards, food and every traditional things.
It meets with great popularity this year I even saw few Japanese, French and German people.
It's tradition for my family to go there. We buy food cause we know that it's good and have big amount of ex. meat in sausages and everything that we like.
This year my sister bought herself an angel (made from clay), I bought a big (500ml) cup and few things for friends. This are pictures from there:
Aren't they cool. Few of them are new techniques but another few are rarely viewed now.
