18th December

Hi!

Tomorrowis the big day when I go back home. I already am left alone in the flat from monday - all of my flatmates went home. Today I bid my farewells to my boyfriend and tomorrow is my turn :D
I'll miss christmas atmosphere which is here but I hope that meeting the family will create unforgettable Christmas this year. First christmas when everyone will have to arrive from their studies and new lifes - me from Edinburgh and my sister from Gdańsk.
I have to eat everything from my fridge today and there was quite a lot. By my stay here I got addicted to sweets so I decided to buy donuts also for today and now I regret it :P
While being here I had much time to see many movies and create a list want to watch. Due to my new friends I know now doritos, ben&jerry's ice cream, custard, mince pies, real english pudding, peanut butter and oatmeal.
My favourite are ben&jerry's ice cream of course....
but also doritos.....
and can't forget of mince pies.
For today I prepared some photos from my uni and lectures

And while we are at it I have some amazing pictures of microbes. Everyone say that they are disgusted or hate bacterias, fungi and all microorganisms in general, but after staining and looking under microscope you can't believe that they can be so cute and beautiful. On my microbiological module I was allowed to take some photos and can show them to you now:

I unfortunately don't remember which one is what bacteria but it doesn't change the fact that they re amazing, can u agree?

See you in Poland xo

16th December

Witajcie!

There is only 3 days before my flight back home and I'm unsure what I feel about it. Sometimes I'm happy that I will finally (after 3,5 months) see my family, friends, dog, go back to familiar places but on the other hand I'm so nervous facing again the same feeling and problems I had before. I'm afraid that my friends changed and I no longer fit there. I found my place here in Edinburgh so I don't want to go back.
Some more of beautiful Edinburgh today. This time it's Arthur's Seat. It's a hill in the middle of the edinburgh. The view from there is amazing. You can see almost everything - the bridge, islands, ocean, fife, all edinburgh and it's so greeny there that I could spend some more time there I sketch the scenery. I went there in October with archery club to integrate more and I never will regret it. Here are some pictures from that time:

Don't you agree that it's beautiful there? But be careful cause at the peak it's really windy. After few days I caught a horrible cold because I didn't wear warm enough clothes :P
For a few days now weather in Edinburgh was horrible - rainy, stormy, windy (60-70mph) but today it's quite nice you even can see sun :D
Today I'm going to Christmas market with my friends from uni. I will also make last christmas purchase - cheese. But not just cheese, it's german cheese :P But I still didn't decide on flavour of it - pickled onion, cranberry, chilli, herbs, smoked, mature, whisky?? They all are amazing in taste but when it comes to choosing it's rather difficult. But there is still some time before I go so will make this decision after tasting them once again :)

See you next time.

15th December

Hello there!
I know that my last post were saying  the same wht I want to say now but still I'm sorry for not writing for such a long time. I would never expect the life to be so interesting and unexpected with a little twist in every situation but it is. I always were wondering
where the soaps directors take their ideas from?
and now I know that from real life.
I got admitted to almost all universities that I wanted to go and the final decision was really hard for me. In the end I decided to study abroad and leave my usual life behind. Now I know that it was perfect decision. I can proudly say that I'm Edinburgh Napier University student at Microbiology and Biotechnology course. Actually we just finished first semester - how the time flies so fast, it's really scary.
For past few months I moved out from my Polish family house to University dorms in Edinburgh, started my uni life, met a lot of amazing people, joined archery club and got second team place as a novices, finished my first semester and in few days going back to Poland for Christmas. Each day I love this city more and more and couldn't possibly be in a better place on earth now.
My friend ssays that we soon will got used to seeing edinburgh so I try to sightsee as much as I can to amaze myself how beautiful this city really is. I went to botanic gardens and saw species which I heard about or read in books while being in polish high school. It's really a great experience and I'd recommend it to enyone no matter if he's interested in botany or not. There are indoors as well as outdoors gardens and it's really worth going. Here are some pictures from the time I was there - it was at the beginning of september so now when it's winter it probably looks a bit different unless we re talking about greenhouse rooms

I'm always amazed by the biology and plants the most. They are so little, can't talk but have so much to say and so many stories to tell. Some of them probably saw really dinosaurs or even the origin of life, it's a shame that we can't make them speak.
That's all for now I'll show some more later.
